On this page you will be able to find out information on upcoming litters & even see pictures of the parent stock for each breeding.If the boar that fathered the litter is not ours,a picture of him will only be shown if one is available.As soon as litters are born,the information for that litter will be added to the Adoption/Sales page (if the date has passed & you don't see anything on the "adoption" page,please email us for more info).Please note that the average gestation is 63 to 71 days for a guinea pig (cavy) with most delivering around the 70th day.I start counting from the 1st day my female is placed in with the male & count down from there.I have found this to be the most accurate way in determining due dates even though not all females breed right away.I also try to confirm pregnancy by both weighing & palpating from the 6th week on.
